2009 PINOT GRIS
THE WINE
Because of the cool climate in the Willamette Valley, our Pinot Gris has lovely, balanced layers of fruit, acidity and minerality. A touch of Gewürztraminer adds a hint of rose petal and spice, and rounds out this vibrant and complex wine.
| VARIETAL | APPELLATION | VINTAGE NOTES |
| 95% Pinot Gris | Willamette Valley | A mild summer of sunshine-filled days and cool nights produced perfectly ripe fruit. |
| 5% Gewürztraminer | ||
THE WINEMAKING
The grapes were hand-picked and carefully sorted to ensure only
the best berries were selected and crushed, and then the juice
was sent to stainless steel tanks. No oak was used for either
fermentation or aging in order to preserve the vibrancy and fresh
character of the fruit.
THE FLAVOR PROFILE
This delightful wine sings from the glass with generous aromas of
green apple, nectarine, lemon verbena and floral paper-whites.
The palate bursts with a vibrant freshness and delicious flavors of
apricot, Anjou pear and kumquat marmalade with hints of yellow
melon and quince paste. It is succulent, lively and long with a
mouthwatering middle and crisp, almost flinty finish.
